So brandy posted this video on youtube a couple of days ago and all I can say is WOW. I always knew she could sing, but not like this. She has so much control over her voice its crazy. As a aspiring vocalist, I was not only moved but inspired. Brandy is officially on my list of top female vocalists. The list includes Jasmine Sullivan, Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Adele, etc. This is what other celebs had to say:

Who is Ester Dean???

No really...who is she? I just watched the video for her single "Drop it Low ft. Chris Brown" and its HOTT! I'm normally up on these kinds of things, so for me to not know is foreign to me. Its time for me to start researching because she's very talented (she's wrote for Mary J. Blige!). Oh and she has EVERYBODY in the video. Nelly, Chris Brown, Omarion, Soulja Boy, Teyana Taylor, and Keri Hilson are all 'droppin it low' with Ms. Ester.

Keri Hilson - Slow Dance

Keri Hilson does it again. I really saw this like a month ago, just never got around to blogging about it. Its dope to me. Nothing especially special about it, but its dope nonetheless. Sometimes less is more. Oh and she looks gorgeous.

It's Been A While...

I am currently procrastinating. I am putting off writing my speech for Public Speaking until the last minute, again. Anyway, It seems like forever since I've blogged man! School has just had me so preoccupied. So here's whats been going with me...I AM FINALLY CHANGING MY MAJOR!!! My major has been Psychology and I've been wanting to change it forever, but I've been hesitant. Well the time has come to throw caution to the wind! I will be a Journalism majr within a few days. I seriously cannot wait. I've always had a passion for writing so why not be a journalist. My ultimate plan is to write for magazines such as XXL, Vibe, Ebony, or Essence. Lets hope it all works out for the best.

Bantu Knots

So I was on the computer, as I always am, and I came across a video on youtube of this girl doing Bantu Knots. I thought it was dope so I decided to try. These pictures are my final result. I LOVED it!!! You may not be able to tell in this picture, but it looks like a curly afro. It looked like my hair was all natural. Anticipation? NO, Im Ready!

Excuse the raggedy ass picture - I took it with the Blackberry (I was THAT excited). As you can see, I copped the Trey Songz - Ready album. I really only have one word, HOT! Most albums have about 5-6 tracks that are really worth something and the other 4 or 5 are garbage, NOT THIS ONE! Track for track, note for note this is by far the best album he had put out. Lets not get it twisted, I am by no means downing 'Just Gotta Make It' or 'Trey Day' because I am a HUGE fan and I have those as well as various mixtapes; I am simply saying you can tell he has grown as an artist and put alot of hardwork into this one. When I went to Target to buy it (the day after it was released), I snagged the last copy and then after that we went to another one so my friend could get it and they were sold out too! Hopefully this album puts him on the map and gets him the recognition he deserves. By the way, a couple of my favorite tracks are 'Neighbors Know My Name' 'I Invented Sex' 'Say Aah' and 'Black Roses'. IF YOU DONT HAVE A COPY OF 'READY' GO OUT AND GET IT!!!!!
